Musical Woods

Children from Kilsyth Primary School are soon to work with artist Sarah Wakeford, musician Kirsty Hamilton and our own Judi Legg to transform a corner of the Kilsyth Woodland Centre into a space to inspire creative and musical play.

The children will lead the design and construction work and use found and reclaimed objects to create musical installations that will both look and sound fantastic! Funding for this project has come from the One Family Foundation and the woodland instruments will add another dimension to the lively and interesting space now being developed by a variety of school and community groups using the woods.

If you have any reclaimed objects we might use –  such as bike wheels, old wooden doors, food cans, PVC barrels, wood and sticks – please contact the school! We now have an outdoor piano so watch this space!
